Around 20 vegan activists came to Sheffield Wednesday night to campaign Chalk and Talk.
They used art to spread their views on meat eating and the impact it has on the world. Their messages were written in chalk and spread up Pond Street, they included notes such as "not your mum not your milk" and "animals get protein from plants, you can too, go vegan!"
Jordan Heart, 24 from Sheffield said that he understands that there can be a negative stigma around veganism and they're trying to change that.
"We're a nation of animal lovers just trying to help the public make that connection and open them up to veganism."
Leaflets were also handed out in their bid to spread the word about animal cruelty and the benefits of going vegan.
Although they were fighting for animals rights, their leaflets also contained information about the positive effects of veganism including how humans can get protein and calcium, without eating meat.
Jordan explained " The World Health Organisation have reported that red meat can cause certain types of cancer."
Chalk and talk have said this is not their only campaign and they plan to move to other locations around Sheffield.
