Whether you travel into Sheffield on a regular basis for work or university, we have the best tips for you!
1. SET ALARMS. PLENTY OF ALARMS.
Like most people up at 7am, it takes more than one alarm going off to wake us up! Tip number 1 is to make sure you set as many alarms as possible so you can make your train or car journey on time. How else will you make your 9am lecture without it?

2. PREPARE FOOD.
Although Sheffield has plenty of cheap places to eat (See: Hungry? Sheffield's top 5 cheap eats), eating out 5 days a week is not good for the bank balance. So prepare some meals in advance (or atleast a few packets of crisps to get you through the day).
3. HEADPHONES.
If you have to catch the train or bus to get to Sheffield, then you know there is nothing worse than getting onto the train and realising you have nothing to do for the whole journey. It's way too early to try and tackle your essay or read a book so DO NOT FORGET TO TAKE HEADPHONES! the journey will be so much more enjoyable if you can listen to your favourite playlist on spotify or watch some youtube videos.
4. HAVE A PLAN B.
As a fellow commuter myself, i have had the dreaded experience of a delayed train. And even a cancelled train. It is always best to have a plan B, taxi, tram, bus or even drive yourself- being late is not an option!

5. HAVE FUN.
You're in Sheffield. Make the most of it. On your lunch break visit the winter gardens or go hit the high street for some shopping! Sheffield has so much to offer, make the most of your time here!
